Manchester United have a clear summer transfer plan, but sometimes a market opportunity arises that has to be taken.
With Manchester United’s £250m war chest this summer, there is expected to be loads of transfer business completed with multiple midfielders, a left-back, and a winger the key targets.
However, the plan could change if certain market opportunities become available. Leny Yoro was a market opportunity signing in 2024, and this summer, Real Madrid may be ready to let go of a talent United needs to move for.
Jose Mourinho isn’t going to let Aurelien Tchouameni become a market opportunity for United, but another player might.

Real Madrid only value Endrick at £39m
When a generational talent like Endrick comes onto the market, it is something we expect Manchester United to be taking advantage of.
The Brazilian hasn’t had an easy time in Madrid, but his loan to Lyon showed the pure quality that he has, and now a possible permanent move is being considered.
According to Tutto Mercato Web in Italy, Inter Milan are now plotting a move for Endrick this summer, as the club’s higher-ups are huge believers of him.
Inter want to take Endrick on loan with an obligation to buy this summer, offering between £30-35m as the purchase fee.
But Madrid values Endrick at between £35-39m, which isn’t much more and is a fee that United should be switched on to.
Endrick isn’t even 20 and still has the potential to become a world-class forward, with £39m a punt worth taking.
Now the Ederson deal is agreed… WHO SHOULD BE MAN UTD’S NEXT TARGET?
Let us know who should be signing number two…
Manchester United need to enter race for Endrick
Endrick had 12 goal contributions in his 16 games on loan for Lyon in the back half of the 2025/26 campaign.
This loan has reignited his career in Europe after struggling in Madrid, with his spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil side now secure, as he scored in one of the World Cup warm-up games earlier this month.
Endrick has it all to be a forward at the top level with pace, power, technical ability, positioning and excellent finishing.
His profile is so unique, and his quality feels inevitable to shine through. United should be in the race to sign him this summer. It would be a mistake not to do so.
In fact, Endrick could define the next decade for United, because there wouldn’t be much better duos than him and Benjamin Sesko as the club’s two strikers.
