Alejandro Garnacho officially scored the final goal of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s time as Manchester United interim manager.
Ruud van Nistelrooy stepped up to take charge of Manchester United after Erik ten Hag was sacked. Four games later, he has departed with the highest win rate of any manager in the club’s history.
Ruben Amorim arrived in England on Monday afternoon to start his role as United’s new head coach, and just hours later, the club confirmed that Van Nistelrooy was one of four coaches leaving the club.
Van Nistelrooy’s four-match stint as interim started and ended with emphatic victories at Old Trafford – amazingly both were against Leicester City.
He was given a fantastic send-off by the United faithful, and farewell messages have continued to flood in from players.

Alejandro Garnacho sends farewell message to Ruud van Nistelrooy
Alejandro Garnacho scored in both victories over Leicester, with his superb curling effort on Sunday afternoon taking his goal tally for the season up to seven.
Like many other players in the current squad, Garnacho seemed to get on brilliantly with Van Nistelrooy, and he was quick to send a heartfelt message to the Dutchman after his departure was confirmed.

Via Instagram, Garnacho wrote: “It was a short time but it was special. I learned a lot from you and I will keep it to myself for the rest of my career, but what I will remember the most is how you are as a person
“We will meet again Legend”.
Garnacho also sent a message to Ten Hag shortly after his sacking, with him and Kobbie Mainoo being two of the first players to speak out.
Ruben Amorim must find a place for Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho has had a sensational start to the season and currently leads the way as United’s top scorer this season.
He won the club’s October Player of the Month award with more than half the vote and continues to contribute to goals either as a starter or an impact substitute.
However, it is difficult to envision where Garnacho fits in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system.
Taking a glance at how Amorim could line up at United, he will provide depth through wing-backs, but it is yet to be seen whether Garnacho fits that role.
One of Amorim’s biggest challenges is finding a way to utilise United’s talented wide players in his three-at-the-back system – especially Garnacho.
