Manchester United had a busy transfer deadline day of incomings a year ago. This time around expect departures.
Ineos have conducted an impressive clearout of players, and more departures are set to follow before the transfer deadline.
Here is a look at 10 players who could still leave before the window closes at 11pm…
Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen has not played a single minute for Manchester United in the opening games of the season. The Dane has been warned by his international boss that his situation is unsustainable.
Eriksen has been connected with a move to former club Ajax – but United are not willing to give him away.
Victor Lindelof
Victor Lindelof is now Manchester United’s sixth choice centre-back. He has just one year left on his deal and may choose to run it down.
The situation is complicated by a toe injury which has resulted in Lindelof being left out of the Sweden international squad.
Jadon Sancho
United are keen to find a new club for Jadon Sancho, with negotiations ongoing for the out of favour winger.
Juventus were claimed to have an agreement, while The Guardian claim Sancho is holding out for a move to Chelsea.

Scott McTominay
This move is all agreed, Scott McTominay is set to move to Serie A side Napoli for £25.4 million.
McTominay has said his goodbyes and is tying up the transfer, which could take until deadline day to be formally announced.

Toby Collyer
A controversial one. Manchester United could consider a loan move for promising midfielder Toby Collyer.
Collyer made his debut in the Community Shield, but has had to settle for under-21 football since. United might be open to a switch which enables him to play regular football.
However, after the injury to Mason Mount, a loan deal for Collyer looks quite unlikely.
Sonny Aljofree
Promising centre-back Sonny Aljofree has been identified as a player Manchester United want to send out on loan. He signed a new contract earlier in August.
Sam Mather
Another young player to pen a new deal, Sam Mather is expected to leave on loan. He scored twice during a loan spell at Rochdale last season.
Sam Murray
Sam Murray started two pre-season matches at left-back for Manchester United, but has not had a look-in since.
The FA Youth Cup winner is a candidate to leave either or a loan or permanent basis before the deadline.
Elyh Harrison
Goalkeeper Elyh Harrison won the Denzil Haroun Award for Reserve Team Player of the Year, demonstrating the depth of talent United have in the goalkeeper department.
The next step for Harrison is to leave on loan to gain first team experience, and a late deal could happen.
Ethan Ennis
Ethan Ennis lost a year of his development due to an ACL injury suffered in 2022. He has begun the season well with two goals for the under-21s and recently signed a new deal.
While it has been suggested United want to keep him around, a loan move would make sense to help accelerate his development.
