The 2024 summer transfer window has only been closed a matter of weeks, yet already Manchester United have plans.

For Ineos, summer number one at the helm of Manchester United can be largely defined as successful with some excellent transfer business completed.

The new recruitment structure with Dan Ashworth, Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell at the helm cleared out plenty of deadwood, while also strengthening the squad in the process.

Signing Leny Yoro was the major statement of the window, with the 18-year-old viewed by many to be a generational talent.

However, the arrival of Sekou Kone was also exciting as it felt like a move which the previous administration would not have sanctioned.

Now, another wonderkid is being eyed up for a 2025 move.

Manchester United plan 2025 swoop for Sverre Nypan

While the first team was immeasurably strengthened in the summer, the academy has also received a huge boost in recruitment as well.

Samuel Lusale and James Overy have just received their Premier League ratification and Chido Obi-Martin is expected to join from Arsenal.

Now, the academy could be once again bolstered with Norweigan wonderkid Sverre Nypan on the radar.

According to GiveMeSport, United are continuing to track the teenage sensation from Rosenborg and has plans to continue watching him throughout the season.

However, United are also planning to potentially offer him a chance to switch to Old Trafford in 2025, when he turns 18 and can therefore be signed due to Brexit rules.

Nypan is a player who has long been on the shortlist for United, now it is nearly time for action, and with Vivell set to remain at United in January and beyond, a move seems likely.

Erik ten Hag has already watched him in person

A move for Nypan seems to be a deal Ineos will be more than happy to complete and fits in with the moves for Kone and Yoro, building a future spine of the team from wonderkids.

Nypan was first linked in 2023, so it would not be illogical if he was immediately signed in January when he becomes available.

The youngster has already admitted to dreaming of a United move which tells us he would be a good fit in terms of character.

Erik ten Hag will have been impressed with what he saw upon watching Nypan in action during pre-season when Rosenborg welcomed United.

With Arsenal also keen on Nypan, United will need to move quickly in order to avoid missing out on the player likened to Martin Odegaard.
