The summer transfer window will be viewed as successful by Manchester United, despite a rocky start to the Premier League.
Manchester United addressed almost every problem position and have left Erik ten Hag with no excuses should he struggle this season.
Manuel Ugarte arrived on deadline day, bolstering the midfield, meanwhile Matthijs de Ligt arrived from Bayern Munich and Leny Yoro from Lille.

Joshua Zirkzee joined United from Bologna to provide excellent depth up front. Finally Noussair Mazraoui strengthened the full-back slot.
Now, United’s interim director of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, is expected to stay on at Old Trafford thanks to his key role this summer.

Manchester United keep Christopher Vivell
The summer 2024 transfer window was the best Manchester United have had in years, with each arrival being a name fans are confident will be a success.
At the centre of the work being done will have been Vivell since his arrival in his role as interim director of recruitment.
He was originally only signed on a short-term deal though, to cover until a permanent solution could be found and now according to Manchester Evening News, Vivell is set to stay on.
The German will remain in his role at the club for January’s transfer window – signing a contract until February and so he will be in his role until then.
It is then reported that the likelihood is that he will end up taking the position permanently as part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s dream set-up.
After the successful summer United have just had, he is a permanent addition we’d be keen on seeing.
Sekou Kone is a perfect example of his work
In the summer window, there were a few deals which struck us as being moves Vivell would have advocated for.
Of them all, Sekou Kone is a transfer which absolutely has Vivell’s impact all over it and is one United would have missed out on in recent years.
While Sekou Kone may have been on the list before Vivell arrived, the fact the deal was done and pushed through just proves that Vivell had an impact.
These kinds of deals are so exciting to see and with links to Franco Mastantuono already after deadline day, there could be more exciting deals on the way.
Now, we imagine plans for January and beyond will already be being drawn up and we are excited to see what Ineos have in store.
