The English transfer window may have closed, but Manchester United may still have one more deal to conclude.
After a relatively quiet deadline day, Manchester United ended the transfer window with only two major signings.
Patrick Dorgu arrived for £25m from Lecce, while Ayden Heaven was signed from Arsenal. The duo were unveiled in front of Old Trafford before Sunday’s loss to Crystal Palace.
Amorim is pleased with United’s business, despite the club focusing more on outgoings than strengthening the squad with new signings.
Marcus Rashford left on loan to Aston Villa while Antony and Tyrell Malacia also left for the remainder of the season. According to reports, another United star could now be headed for the exit door.

Casemiro wanted by Besiktas
Casemiro has tumbled down the pecking order at Manchester United since Ruben Amorim arrived as head coach in November.
At the end of December, Casemiro was woeful against Newcastle in a midfield partnership with Christian Eriksen. Since then, it seems Amorim has lost faith in the Brazilian.
A move away seems inevitable, with Casemiro’s contract valid until 2026. The English transfer window closed on Monday evening, but there is still a chance Casemiro could leave.
As reported by Turkish outlet Aspor, Casemiro has told Besiktas that he is keen on making a move. The Super Lig club have made him a top target.
The Turkish transfer window remains open until Tuesday 11th February, meaning there is just under a week for both clubs to come to an agreement.
What Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said about Casemiro
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still very early into his reign at Besiktas, but the former United striker and manager seems keen to reunite with Casemiro.
Just over one week ago, Solskjaer praised Casemiro as “very good” after his Besiktas side was linked with a potential move.
“I’ve come from Manchester United, so there will be transfer news like this. Casemiro and Rashford are very good players, but I haven’t had any contact with them,” Solskjaer said.
Besiktas recently loaned out midfielder Al-Musrati to Monaco, freeing up space for Casemiro to arrive this week.
With Rashford now gone, Casemiro is easily United’s top earner with a salary of £350,000 per week. It is not yet clear whether Besiktas are pursuing a loan or permanent move for the Brazilian.
