Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho is being linked with a return to the Bundesliga but Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director appears to have dismissed the possibility of rescuing the Premier league misfit.
With the Red Devils open to offers for the banished England international during the January transfer window, rumours of a return to Signal Iduna Park felt like Erik ten Hag’s best hope of recouping some of Manchester United’s £73 million investment.
If Donyell Malen was to join United as part of the deal, then all the better (The Times).
The comments Sebastian Kehl made to Sky Germany on Wednesday, however, have served only to close off one potential exit route to Jadon Sancho, the former City kid having been removed from the first-team picture after that very public dispute with Ten Hag three months ago.

Dortmund dismiss Jadon Sancho rumours
“At the moment, there is no exchange deal discussed (with Sancho and Malen),” Kehl explains. “Or any interest in any player.”
According to The Guardian, Sancho is far from the only big-money signing Manchester United are looking to offload in the winter. United are also ‘open to offers’ for Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek. The latter is reportedly a target for Eintracht Frankfurt, though his wages could prove to be a stumbling block.
Manchester United in Serhou Guirassy talks
Kehl, meanwhile, has also played down reports linking Serhou Guirassy with a move to BVB. The Stuttgart striker recently held talks over a potential switch to Old Trafford (TMW).
“At the moment, there are no discussions at all (with Guirassy),” the Dortmund director adds. “Neither with the club nor with the player. (Those rumours) really amused me.
“But we live with it. It’s all good.”
Guirassy has a £15 million release clause in his contract, and turned down a new deal with Stuttgart this week.
