Al-Hilal make staggering contract offer to Bruno Fernandes, Man Utd could receive game-changing bid

Bruno Fernandes is being offered a lucrative way out of Manchester United this summer by Al-Hilal.

It would be a catastrophic loss if Bruno Fernandes was to be sold this summer.

Despite the criticism Fernandes has received from Roy Keane and some fans, there is no denying that he has been Manchester United’s best player for half a decade now, often resembling a one-man team.

This season, Fernandes has been arguably at his best ever level, considering some of the shambolic form around him, racking up 37 goal contributions in total this season across all competitions in 52 games – 24 in 35 under Ruben Amorim.

This form has led to interest, with Real Madrid being linked with Fernandes in April. But now there is substantial links emerging which suggest Al-Hilal are keen on signing Fernandes this summer.

Now, the scope of the interest and finances behind it has been reported.

Al-Hilal ready breathtaking swoop to sign Bruno Fernandes

It emerged on Monday that Al-Hilal are hoping to sign the United captain. Despite the Saudi Pro League side being keen, United have placed Fernandes on the unsellable list this summer.

Now, according to Ben Jacobs, Fernandes is a top target for Al-Hilal and the Saudi side, who have £510m set aside to spend this summer after Mohamed Salah rejected a move in favour of remaining at Anfield.

Al-Hilal want to bring in a superstar this summer ahead of the Club World Cup and are prepared to pay a British record transfer fee to get the deal done for Fernandes. This is despite Saudi ‘sources’ claiming there is a £60m release clause; however, United in Focus understands that there is no release clause in Fernandes’ United contract.

While United are not keen to sell, a record fee would be north of the £115m Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo, a figure Ineos may struggle to reject given the financial peril United are in.

This would be United’s most expensive transfer sale by quite some margin, and the finances to Fernandes are equally as dizzying.

How much Bruno Fernandes has been offered by Al-Hilal

It is not only United who could be simply blown away by the finances on offer, with Jacobs also reporting that Al-Hilal have offered Fernandes a contract that he would be crazy to reject.

It is claimed that there has been contact between Fernandes’ entourage and Al-Hilal since summer 2024 and United’s No.8 has been sent a ‘non-binding’ offer which would secure him on a three year contract although he is yet to respond.

In terms of finances, it is claimed Fernandes has been offered £65m per season, which is roughly £1.25m per week – over four times the £300,000-a-week contract Fernandes is on at United until 2027.

£65m over three seasons would equal £195m by the time Fernandes turns 34, an amount which would set not only him and his kids for life, but also his kid’s kids and their kids for generations to come.

As much as United will want to keep Fernandes, this might simply be an offer that is just too good to refuse when Ineos needs all the financial help it can get to rebuild this squad.
