Manchester United have several youngsters who are in need of a loan in January in order to help their development.

Ineos have built an incredibly strong group of youngsters in the academy, however in order to help these talents reach their potential – Manchester United must use to loan market.

Ruben Amorim so far does not seem keen on using academy players – likely as it is something better to do while the senior players are performing, as to avoid throwing them in at the deep end.

So here are seven players from the academy we would like to see sent out on loan in 2025.

Dan Gore

First on our list of players in need of a loan move is Dan Gore.

The 19-year-old has been building himself back this season after an injury-plagued second-half of last season which saw his Port Vale loan fail.

Gore is too good for U21 football and so it seems likely he will go on loan – however unlike last season, United needs to choose his club very wisely.

Ethan Ennis

Arguably the U21’s player of the year has been Ethan Ennis, with the winger shining this season.

Ennis has shone against senior opposition and so there are surely plenty of suitors for him in League One or even the Championship.

One player who needs a loan.

Ethan Wheatley

Another attacker who needs to be given a loan in January is Ethan Wheatley.

The striker has not had a look in for the senior side since Ruud van Nistelrooy’s spell ended and therefore it’s pivotal he moves for his development.

Wheatley is a top target for Wrexham, which would be an excellent move at the top end of League One.

Ethan Williams

Ethan Williams has barely featured this season after his impressive U18 2023/24 campaign.

Williams has spent some time in Switzerland, training with Lausanne which is a huge benefit for his development.

However, he needs regular game time and loan could be his best chance.

Gabriele Biancheri

Gabriele Biancheri is the most inform youngster United have.

Biancheri is only 18, so a loan is not of the utmost importance but with Chido Obi taking over at U18 level and limited minutes in a poor U21 side, he may be better served on a well-placed loan.

With 21 goals this season already, Biancheri is ready for the step up. We’d love to see him sent to a high-ranking League Two side for the remainder of this season.

Harry Amass

Before Amorim’s arrival, Harry Amass was in line for his debut but his chances have dropped since.

A new left wing-back is a priority in 2025, while the addition of Diego Leon provides direct competition.

Amass is said to have Championship interest for a loan in January, and United should take it.

Toby Collyer

This season has not gone as Toby Collyer would have wanted after his breakout pre-season.

Collyer has barely featured and Amorim does not seem keen to use him, as he snubbed him against Newcastle.

Leicester City are keen to loan Collyer and this move would be perfect for his development with regular Premier League minutes.
