The January transfer window is fast approaching and with first-team moves looking unlikely, loans for Manchester United’s youngsters are the hottest topic.
Ruben Amorim suffered his first defeat as Manchester United manager on Wednesday night. United lost 2-0 to Arsenal, although this won’t be the end of the world for Amorim who is still getting to grips with the squad and his players.

The early days of the 39-year-old’s reign and the prospects of youngsters getting regular minutes look slim with Ethan Wheatley and Harry Amass both back with the U21s.
This was to be expected, with a bloated first-team squad, however, youngsters such as the aforementioned pair and Godwill Kukonki will be hoping for minutes over the next few weeks such as against Viktoria Plzen next week.

But now, United in Focus can reveal that clubs are looking at some of Travis Binnion’s best ahead of a January loan.

Wrexham targets Ethan Wheatley loan
One player in desperate need of a loan in January is young striker Wheatley who is slightly lost right now within the United squad.
Now transfer expert Graeme Bailey has told United in Focus that Wheatley could very well get this in the new year.
“Ethan Wheatley is one who a lot of Championship clubs like,” Graeme explained before continuing to add that two of League One’s leading sides are keen on signing the youngster.
“I had heard Wrexham and Stockport for him.”
Wheatley has outgrown the Premier League 2 as he has scored five in six appearances this season yet still looks far off getting minutes for United. Wheatley has also shone in the UEFA Youth League.
Manchester United trio also set for January loan
Wheatley won’t be the only youngster who is likely to head on loan this January, with Harry Amass having multiple suitors.
“For Amass, there are teams who need left siders, the likes of Stoke, Norwich and Bristol Citys of the world. I expect a couple to go on loan.”
Continuing, Graeme added that two others could also be set to depart.
“Dan Gore will be one. Ethan Ennis is another one have heard.”
Ennis will have caught the eye in the National League Cup and the EFL Trophy. While Gore needs a loan after his spell at Port Vale was a disaster last campaign.
Of all the players in the academy right now, these are the four who are most in need of a loan, with the next generation already coming behind them which means they are stifling each other.
