Manchester United fans will have to wait a little while longer before Patrick Dorgu is unveiled as a new signing.
Ruben Amorim is closing in on his first major signing after Manchester United agreed a fee for Patrick Dorgu with Serie A side Lecce.
United are set to pay £24m for Dorgu plus add-ons after their third bid was accepted by Lecce. Dorgu is set to earn £38,500-a-week at United once his contract is finalised.
Amorim has been demanding a new left wing-back and his request has been answered with the 20-year-old Denmark international set to join as soon as his medical is completed.
Dorgu was set to undergo a medical on Thursday, but there has been a slight delay in the process which could impact when he makes his Manchester United debut.

Patrick Dorgu’s Man United medical rescheduled
Patrick Dorgu was expected to arrive in Manchester on Thursday to finalise his move and sign his contract. All parties have come to an agreement, including the player agreeing to personal terms.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now revealed there has been a slight delay with United rescheduling Dorgu’s medical.
Romano revealed that Dorgu’s medical has been rescheduled to take place over the weekend.
The good news for United fans is that there are no problems with the agreement. Dorgu’s move is still set to go ahead but there has been a slight hold up because of the contracts and documents involved in the deal.
Dorgu will fly to England this weekend to finalise his move, which means fans will have to wait a few more days before his potential debut.
When could Patrick Dorgu make his Man United debut?
United’s Europa League clash against FCSB on Thursday evening was always going to come too early for Dorgu, but there was an outside chance that he could have made his debut this weekend.
The Red Devils resume their Premier League campaign on Sunday afternoon with a clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

However, Dorgu’s delayed move essentially rules him out of featuring against the Eagles. Instead, it looks likely that his debut will be made in the FA Cup.

United are set to be re-united with Ruud van Nistelrooy next Friday when Leicester City travel to Old Trafford for the fourth-round FA Cup clash.
Provided that Dorgu is registered and the move goes smoothly, he could make his debut in front of the Old Trafford faithful against the Foxes.
