Amorim has high expectations for pre-season, with the Portuguese head coach demanding that his players reach peak fitness levels before the tour even begins.

Cunha was eager to join United so hopefully he arrives ready to hit the ground running in pre-season training.

Cunha arrives as United’s first signing of the summer and the first player signed by Ineos to cost over £60 million.

Reports claim Cunha is set to wear the No.10 shirt at United, replacing Marcus Rashford who is set to leave the club this summer.
