When is The United Way documentary released and how to watch it

There is a real treat in store for Manchester United supporters with the upcoming release of documentary The United Way.

The documentary will explore the club’s history from the Sir Matt Busby era to the Treble success in 1999.

The story explores United’s successful teams under Busby, to the painful wait for league titles in the 70s and 80s before Sir Alex Ferguson led the team to new heights in the 90s.

Club legend Eric Cantona will narrate the film, is quoted in the trailer, ‘Manchester United needed me, and I needed them’.

There will be special apperances and interviews with former players. These will include current United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and former teammates David Beckham and Peter Schmeichel. Brian Kidd, Bryan Robson and Ron Atkinson are also among the contributors.

The movie features black and white archive footage to the more familiar scenes from United’s dominant 90s team under Sir Alex Ferguson, who also features prominently in the film, with exclusive interviews.

It looks like an absolute must watch for all United supporters, from start to finish.

When is it out?

The United Way will be available to watch on Monday May 24. It is 90 minutes long.

How to watch it

The documentary is made by Sky, and will be screened on Sky Documentaries, channel 112.

It can be watched anytime by Sky subscribers on Sky Go, and can also be viewed with a NOW TV pass.
