There has been complete radio silence from Ruben Amorim about his Manchester United spell since he was sacked back in January.
Despite reports that he wanted to take a break from management, Ruben Amorim has now been appointed head coach of AC Milan with a contract running until 2028.
Amorim was liked by the United dressing room, and his departure came as a result of a fallout with the boardroom more than anything else. His move to Milan has been celebrated by one Red Devils player in particular.

Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan appointment liked by Man United star
On Tuesday, AC Milan made a post on Instagram confirming Amorim’s arrival at the San Siro.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Diogo Dalot was quick to like the post.
Earlier this month, Dalot praised Amorim’s impact on his career, describing him as a “fundamental” coach behind the scenes.
Ryan Giggs praised Amorim and claimed he left United in a strong position, but the Portuguese coach is certainly not popular anymore among the fanbase.
Former United star Rasmus Hojlund also liked the post, despite being sold during Amorim’s tenure to Napoli.

It was obvious that Dalot enjoyed playing under his compatriot Amorim, and they shared a close bond at Old Trafford.
As per Tribuna, there are reports that Dalot and Amorim are actually distant relatives.
Amazingly, Portuguese genealogy website Geneall claims both Dalot and Amorim are great-great-grandsons of Carlos Dallot, a 19th-century circus performer.

United sources then confirmed there is a family link between the duo.
There are United players who could join Amorim in Milan, but even with their family link a move for Dalot seems unlikely.
