Manchester United’s goalkeeper situation is as secure as it has been in a long time, with Tom Heaton and Senne Lammens perfect for their roles as third and first-choice.
Senne Lammens took the Premier League by storm during his debut campaign between the sticks at Old Trafford. Replacing Altay Bayindir, the upgrade was immediately clear.
Meanwhile, as the third-choice goalkeeper, Tom Heaton’s importance has been highlighted by Casemiro, among others.
Manchester United have benefited from Heaton’s experience, helping the young Belgian shot stopper settle in at the club on and off the pitch.
How much is Senne Lammens worth now?
Man Utd got a real bargain… how much of a bargain?

Tom Heaton explains how impressive Senne Lammens was from day one
Speaking on The Football Boardroom podcast, Heaton has now explained what made Lammens so impressive from the moment he walked through the doors at Carrington.
“I think obviously, Senne coming in, 23-years-old, we all know the challenges of being a Manchester United number one, relatively unknown.
“He’s been incredibly impressive since day one.
“Real solid personality, very, very steady.
“And then he’s just delivered consistent performances, and I think the club’s really benefited from that.”
Lammens has been so impressive, but without Heaton’s role off the pitch, it wouldn’t have been possible.
Heaton has always been full of praise for Lammens, and it is easy to see why.
Who is YOUR ‘one to watch’ pick for Man Utd next season?👀
Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro both say Patrick Dorgu, but who is yours?
Lammens has been given the seal of approval by Manchester United
While initially signed as one for the future, Lammens has become undeniable for Manchester United, putting himself clearly above Bayindir and the potentially returning Andre Onana.
But more impressively, is that United are so wowed by his debut season, they are ready to cash in on Radek Vitek, according to reports.
Vitek was brilliant on loan at Bristol City and established himself as one of the best in the Championship, but now he has demanded first-team football and United aren’t going to budge on Lammens.
Ideally, Vitek would have slotted in as the number two, but he is good enough to start, so it is tough to expect him to be happy on the bench.
United clearly believes that Lammens is the better goalkeeper, and on the evidence we have to say that is true.
