Many of Manchester United’s loan contingent had the weekend off due to the international break.
One player who was in action in the Football League was Mansfield Town goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
The United loanee helped Mansfield secure a 2-1 victory away at Stevenage.
This was Mansfield’s third win in a row, an impressive feat considering they have won just four of 16 league games this season in League Two.

Two of these four wins have come in the last fortnight, with the other being a surprise 1-0 FA Cup first round victory away at Sunderland.
Bishop was voted as Mansfield’s man of the match via the club website, earning 34 per cent of the supporters’ votes.
Despite winning their last two league games, Mansfield sit down in 18th place in the table.
On the plus side, they have opened up a five point gap above the relegation zone.
Making progress
The loan move is proving productive for Bishop. He has now played 17 matches in all competitions for them.
This move will likely lead to better opportunities for the 22-year-old goalkeeper, who will hope to rise up the divisions like Dean Henderson.
When David de Gea’s contract expires in 2024, Bishop may be in a position to be part of the first team picture.
