It is a shame we are here talking about a Bruno Fernandes highlight against Sheffield United which was a defensive one.
But that just about sums up where we are after a horrible home loss which felt totally avoidable.
Manchester United were second best all over the pitch and could have few complaints about the 2-1 defeat
Star man Bruno Fernandes did manage to create three goalscoring chances, including one incisive through ball to Mason Greenwood at the start of the second half. The teenager skewed his shot wide.

He put the work in
Unlike others, Fernandes never gave up. There was one moment in the second half with United 2-1 down which summed up his fighting spirit.
Anthony Martial (who else?) gave the ball away and United were caught on the break as Ethan Ampadu charged through. Just before he bore down on United’s centre-backs, Fernandes slid in to win the ball.
The Portuguese star must have run back 35 to 40 yards to catch Ampadu, and this showed his commitment to the cause.
Fernandes had 98 touches in total, making three tackles. He put in a real shift.
His performance was worth highlighting because it felt like not all of his teammates were at the same level.
This was not a display where he lit up the attack and added to his 16 goals and nine assists for the season, but it was not for lack of trying.
