Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Edinson Cavani’s contribution against Fulham.
Cavani scored United’s goal in the 1-1 draw, and it was an outstanding goal from around 40 yards out when he saw Alphonse Areola off his line.
The Uruguayan was able to break free after timing his run to perfection, just about being ruled onside by the officials.

United manager Solskjaer praised the centre-forward, for both the quality of his goal and the way he played.
Solskjaer told the club website: “How good was Cavani’s goal? Oh, top. That was the highlight obviously. What a way to introduce himself to the Stretford End.
“I know I’ve said it a long time, but we need fans here and they’re going to see him score many goals for us. That was an excellent finish, and the way he works to get his chances as well is exceptional.”
Deliberately obscure over another striker
Solskjaer was asked about whether United would sign another striker this summer, from reporters fishing for potential lines on a move for Harry Kane.
The United boss did not rule out a move for another striker.
He told Sky Sports: “Yes, Edinson signed but how many good strikers have we had at this club and I can’t say we’re not signing a striker.”
Solskjaer’s comments probably won’t be well received by Anthony Martial, who had a terrible night without even playing.

Martial missed out on a place on the bench, and then missed out on France’s squad for Euro 2020.
Solskjaer did say after the game he has “still got a little bit of hope” that Martial could be fit for the Europa League final, but he will have to settle for a substitute role at best, with Cavani now established as the club’s first choice.
Martial has to fight simply to be United’s second choice, after a disappointing campaign with just seven goals so far.
