Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Cristiano Ronaldo’s imminent transfer to Manchester United has given everybody a lift.
Speaking to the club website, Solskjaer said: “Of course the fans have been excited for the last couple of days, we all are of course.
“He has had such a great career and he has been here before. Hopefully we can just finalise the paperwork and announce it.
“He is going to give everybody a boost, of course. I played with him, he’s a great player, he is a top human being, he is a top professional, so he will give everybody in the squad and everybody around the club a buzz.”

The great return
Ronaldo’s move to Manchester United was agreed on Friday amid a whirlwind few hours.
The Portugal international snubbed interest from rivals City to agree a sensational return to United.
BBC Sport report United will pay just an initial £12.8 million to sign Ronaldo from Juventus.
Ronaldo flew to Lisbon to undergo a medical and is expected to fly into England imminently, if he has not done so secretly already.
United supporters have been delirious with the news ever since it broke, with Ronaldo’s return still feeling like a bit of a dream.
Even though he is now 36, Ronaldo is still a predatory goalscorer who managed to net 101 goals in the past three seasons.
His first game could be the home fixture against Newcastle United on September 11.
