Ruben Amorim has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in January.

It has been over five months since Ruben Amorim lashed out at the hierarchy of Manchester United and was ultimately sacked following a 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

Amorim has been linked with Fulham and Crystal Palace during his unemployment, but reports from Portugal suggest that Ruben Amorim wants to take a break from management.

However, the 41-year-old continues to be linked with vacancies, including the available AC Milan job.

AC Milan in talks with Ruben Amorim

According to Football Italia, AC Milan have spoken to Amorim as one of their candidates for the managerial job.

Milan are also interested in former United target Oliver Glasner, who departed Crystal Palace this summer.

The report adds that Amorim is not a “leading” candidate for the job, but an option if a deal for Glasner falls through.

Amorim’s agency spoke out on Benfica links, ruling out a return to Portugal. But it is yet to be seen whether Amorim would end his break to make a return to Italy.
