Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba racked up another assist in a win over Burnley at the weekend.

Pogba is playing some of the best football of his career right now, and his message after the game showed he has little interest in taking personal credit.

The Frenchman’s two-word message read ‘United squad’, showing he sees the team’s progress as a collective effort.

This is where Pogba is at right now. He is buying into United’s progress, recently praising Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s management style and lambastinf former boss Jose Mourinho.

He genuinely seems very happy, and that is showing with his recent performances on the pitch.

United supporters have been keen to let Pogba know he should sign a new contract.

Pogba’s current deal expires at the end of June 2022 and there is real uncertainty over his future.

His on and off pitch demeanour show a happy player, and providing United’s Super League plans don’t cause too much chaos, there is a chance he could be persuaded to stay.

While he can’t experience the adulation of supporters at Old Trafford right now, Pogba should be under no illusions about how admired he is right now.

Hopefully this will play a bearing in Pogba’s upcoming decision to possibly renew his deal, but who knows what impact the Super League proposals will also have.

Clubs like Real may suddenly have money to buy him, and Pogba will have to decide whether he wants to play in the Super League, or if he should try and escape to a club outside of the competition, to keep his World Cup 2022 dream alive in case it turns out to be at risk.
