Radek Vitek is not going to stay at Manchester United this summer, and he’s about to test Ineos in a big way that they haven’t yet been tested so far.
After impressing in his first 45 minutes of the season against Wrexham, Radek Vitek didn’t lose sight of the big picture.
He demanded a No. 1 spot in the immediate aftermath of the game after a brilliant loan spell at Bristol City last season.
Vitek will get his wish, on loan or on a permanent move, but if it’s the latter, Ineos are about to be tested in a big way.

Radek Vitek’s sale is a big test for Ineos
So far, Ineos have passed the transfer window test with flying colours by buying proven Premier League players while staying away from the transfer fee madness.
However, in Vitek’s future, there is a big test awaiting Ineos, because they’ve never sold a player like him before at Old Trafford.
Vitek is young, with plenty of room to grow, on low wages, coming off a proven Championship season, and has an ambitious mentality.
Generally, the likes of Man City or Chelsea would sell a player like that for at least £20m, and put in some sell-on/buy-back clauses on top of it.
United have been guilty of holding onto academy graduates for far too long, or cutting them loose too quickly before they break out.
Both those cases end with United getting taken for a ride by the buying club, as United are always in a desperate situation.
Dean Henderson is a prime example of an elite goalkeeper United inexplicably handed £150k/week before deciding they’d rather keep De Gea.
Those large wages meant the transfer fee was small, when United could have fetched much more had they sold him right away after a successful loan.
Vitek is at the same crossroads right now; Ineos need to show that they can sell as well as they buy.

Vitek’s sale, if it happens, will go a long way towards showing whether United can sell as well as they buy under Ineos.
What should Man Utd do with Radek Vitek in 2026/27?
So far, deals for Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have aged fairly well, so there is some confidence that United will repeat those successes.
However, both were established first-team players, while the club will have to sell Vitek’s potential to interested parties.
That is something Chelsea and Man City are elite at, flipping academy players for huge profits before they even play first-team games.
United are buying like a smart and elite club. Vitek’s sale will show whether they are selling like one, too.
