Alex Telles really is settling in at Manchester United. The Brazilian provided his first assist of the season in the win over West Ham United.
This came in just his third Premier League game. It is only a surprise it took him this long.
Telles’ cross gave Mason Greenwood the ball inside the penalty area. The teenager still had plenty of work to do, and conjured a half-chance into a goal.

While the ball in from Telles was not by itself perfect, it was adequate, and was a result of his attacking intent.
Telles sent a message after the victory, hailing the attitude of his teammates in the 3-1 come from behind win.
Telles game was not perfect. He lost his man defending a corner leaving Tomas Soucek with a tap in for West Ham’s goal.
As often happens with Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s defensive quality on United’s right, teams target Telles down the left as an unknown quality to see if they can exploit his attacking intent.
Largely the former Porto man has coped very well and the only goals United have conceded in the Premier League with Telles in the side have come from set pieces.
Luke Shaw is on his way back from injury so there will be extra competition for places.
Telles is doing well though and his assist should be the first of many. He should have a big role to play in midweek.
