Manchester United have confirmed a new contract for Amad Diallo after strong progression in 2024.
Amad Diallo’s contract was set to expire in June 2025, and while United had the option to extend to 2026, the club have agreed a longer term solution.
Manchester United have formally confirmed Amad has signed a new contract to June 2030.
United In Focus understands Amad has quadrupled his wages to approximately £120,000 per week.
Amad comments on new deal
Amad Diallo has expressed excitement over agreeing his new contract, discussing his ambitious plans after re-signing at Old Trafford.
Amad said: “I am really proud to have signed this new contract. I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come.
“I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United.
“I have learnt so much since arriving here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop, and to the fans for driving me forward every day.”
Amad also acknowledged that the 2024/25 season has not gone to plan so far for the team, and this has only moved to strengthen his resolve to help the club move forward.
He added: “It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special. I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again.”
Manchester United signed Amad from Serie A side Atalanta in 2020, before he officially joined up with the club in January 2021.
He has been out on two loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland, before establishing himself as a first team regular at United.
Jason Wilcox on Amad
Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox expressed his excitement at Amad committing to a new long-term deal.
Wilcox said: “Everyone is delighted with Amad’s development; his quality on the ball, versatility and determination makes him a key part of the future of Manchester United.
“The best years of his career are ahead of him, and we all look forward to helping Amad to reach his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons.”
Amad will be in contention for Manchester United’s player of the season award in 2024/25 after an excellent campaign to date.
He currently has six goals and seven assists to his name, including away goals against Liverpool and Manchester City.
