Manchester United have successfully tied Amad Diallo down to a new long-term contract.

It was a no-brainer to offer the 22-year-old fresh terms after a superb start to the season with Manchester United.

Amad’s current contract is valid until 2025 but the club did hold an option to extend it by a further 12 months.

However, instead of triggering that extension, United entered talks with Amad over a new deal to reflect his importance in Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Ahead of United’s draw with Liverpool, Amorim revealed Amad’s new deal was “near”. Fresh reports suggest it is now signed and sealed.

Amad Diallo signs new Man United contract

As reported by ESPN, Amad Diallo has signed a new long-term deal to secure his future at Old Trafford until 2030.

Ineos are preparing to make huge changes to Amorim’s squad, but Amad is one of six unsellables at United.

The report suggests that official confirmation of Amad’s new deal is “imminent” with a club statement expected as early as Thursday.

On his previous deal, Amad earned £29,000 per week at United. He is expected to receive a big pay rise as part of his new contract. However, the exact figure is yet to be revealed.

With Kobbie Mainoo currently in contract talks, it will be interesting to see how much Amad is now earning at Old Trafford.

Amad Diallo has become Ruben Amorim’s star player

Amad has become Amorim’s ‘main man’ and United’s new head coach is clearly a big fan of the young forward. Hopefully his new contract helps him to continue his development at Old Trafford.

Since the Portuguese arrived in Carrington in November, Amad has been the standout player after impressing as a wing-back and also as a number 10.
