Manchester United are closing in on a new contract for star prospect Amad Diallo, and Kobbie Mainoo is expected to follow.
Manchester United are poised to announce a new contract for attacking star Amad Diallo, fresh off his important goal away at Liverpool at the weekend.
All of the finer details are agreed with an announcement expected within 24 hours.
It’s great news, with Amad’s previous deal set to expire in June 2025 – although the club had a 12-month option.

Amad Diallo wage expectations
Amad Diallo will receive a hefty pay rise commensurate to his importance to the Manchester United first team.
United In Focus understand, via insider Graeme Bailey, that Amad Diallo will be set to earn around £120,000 per week.
The new deal would run until June 2030, and net Amad a substantial rise on his current wages, in the region of just under £30,000 per week.
Amad has become a regular starter at Manchester United in recent months and is viewed as a key player for the future.
Bailey adds that Amad had been contacted by various interested clubs, yet his sole interest was renewing at Old Trafford.
Kobbie Mainoo deal the focus next
Manchester United’s next priority will be to close a deal for Kobbie Mainoo, with the midfielder also in line for a pay rise.
Mainoo was this week linked with a move to Chelsea, no doubt a negotiation ploy, yet there is no reason to expect a deal won’t get done.
Bailey tells United In Focus that Manchester United and Kobbie Mainoo are expected to come to an agreement, with the expected package at around £150,000 per week.
These negotiations have taken longer than United would have liked, with the first discussions held before the end of last season.
Mainoo has also established himself as a regular starter and is viewed as the jewel of the academy crown.
An instant conclusion to talks is not expected, but it will become a priority for United once the deal for Amad is signed off.
