The Premier League fixtures for the 24/25 season have been released, here is how Manchester United compared to their rivals.

The Red Devils will be looking to get off to the best possible start in the 24/25 Premier League campaign – and it all kicks off on the 16th of August 2024.

Erik ten Hag is tasked with the Premier League opener, where United take on Fulham at Old Trafford. A very decent start.

It’s imperative to get off on the front foot, with so many talented teams competing for next year’s Premier League title. Which begs the question, how do Manchester United’s fixtures compare to their rivals?

Manchester United’s first five games of the Premier League 24/25 season

Here are Manchester United’s first five games of the season, and how many points we reckon Ten Hag’s side will get from each.

16th August 2024: Fulham (H)

The Premier League opener sees Manchester United take on Fulham at the Theatre of Dreams. Given United’s dominance in opening games in years gone by, we can only see this going one way.

24th August 2024: Brighton & Hove Albion (A)

A hard test then at the Red Devils travel up to the South Coast to take on the Seagulls. Despite a victory on the final day last season, Brighton will be rejuvenated under a new, young coach. We’ll say a draw.

31st August 2024: Liverpool (H)

The first real big one of the season. United take on Liverpool in just matchday three. Ten Hag does have a decent record against the Reds, who may still be unsettled under new management. We’ll say a draw to be on the safe side.

14th September 2024: Southampton (A)

Manchester United love playing Southampton, and it should be no different in the 24/25 season. Unless they invest heavily, we can’t see the Saints posing too much of a threat.

21st September 2024: Crystal Palace (A)

A very interesting one. If Crystal Palace can keep most of their big names next season, they could be a force to be reckoned with. Interestingly, this is the fixture we think most likely to hand a loss, despite playing Liverpool.
