Amad Diallo has finally committed his long-term future to Manchester United after a lengthy spell of negotiations.
Ineos left things to the last minute, with just six months remaining on the contract before Thursday’s announcement that Amad Diallo had signed a new contract running until 2030.
It was the second big contract that has been handed out under the new Manchester United footballing structure and it was hugely deserved.
In the 16 games since Erik ten Hag’s exit – Amad has started 11, all while scoring five and assisting six. His importance to United has become undeniable and he’s been rewarded as such with a bumper new contract.
It’s a huge statement of trust from Ineos. One which Amad Diallo looks sure to live up to.

Manchester United’s huge endorsement of Amad Diallo
Amad’s new contract is worth £120,000-a-week according to reports – which sees the 22-year-old almost quadruple his wage.
This contract is over double the £50,000-a-week Alejandro Garnacho earns and is a massive endorsement from the club as to how highly they value Amad.
Ineos has not handed out contracts freely, with the club captain the only player to get a new contract and pay rise.
However, despite how big of a statement it is, Amad deserves every bit of the new deal he has got.
Amad is becoming one of Europe’s best wingers
Amad long promised to be elite for United, which made Ten Hag’s refusal to use him all the more frustrating.
Just how special Amad is, can be seen by his non-penalty goal and assist record per 90 this season. Amad is averaging 0.66 goal contributions every 90 – which is an impressive record outdoing some big names.
- Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
- Kylian Mbappe
- Rafael Leao
- Anthony Gordon
- Leroy Sane
- Nico Williams
- Phil Foden
Most impressively, this has all occurred while United have been in utterly woeful form – so in a functioning side these numbers should improve.
In addition, Amad also leads the Premier League for the amount of times he has won possession in the final third with 23.
All of this combined shows that Amad is becoming one of Europe’s very best wingers.
The scary thing for rivals, he still has levels to go.
