Manchester United have several players currently out on loan, with one suffering an injury blow ahead of his competitive debut.
This summer has seen Jonny Evans extremely busy in his new loan manager role. The Northern Irish defender retired from playing in June, and has since been taking up a role planning and monitoring the loans at Manchester United.
Dan Gore has been sent on loan to Rotherham, where he caught the eye last season during his brief loan at the club which was plagued by injury.
Another high profile academy talent heading on loan is Elyh Harrison who has joined Shrewsbury for the upcoming campaign, following in Dean Henderson’s footsteps.
Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan in a high profile move which could result in the 27-year-old being purchased next summer, which is the dream move for the Carrington graduate.
However, for one talent, there is already a hurdle to overcome at his loan club.
Enzo Kana-Biyik out injured for Lausanne
Earlier this month, new United signing Enzo Kana-Biyik arrived from Le Havre for free. The 18-year-old striker is considered an exciting talent with lots of potential.
To realise this, United have sent Kana-Biyik out on loan, as he headed to Ineos-owned FC Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland, where he should get plenty of minutes.
Kana-Biyik made his debut for Lausanne last week during a friendly, but now he’s suffered a blow.
According to Manchester World, Kana-Biyik has suffered a minor injury which is expected to keep him out of action for ‘several weeks’.
This set-back is untimely, considering that Lausanne are set for Conference League qualifiers during his absence, which could have been a big experience for Kana-Biyik.
Lausanne would have wanted to have Kana-Biyik for their first European match in 15 years, but Kana-Biyik is expected to miss both legs and also the season opener this weekend.

Enzo Kana-Biyik still set for big season away from Manchester United
While not being considered ready for first team football right now, United have big hopes for Kana-Biyik and this upcoming season he has a golden opportunity to impress those watching.
The ideal scenario would be for Kana-Biyik to score plenty of goals in Switzerland and return to Old Trafford next summer as a bona fide option for Ruben Amorim.
Lausanne were very excited to sign Kana-Biyik, labelling him as being ‘powerful and technical’ which are two qualities every top striker needs to have.
It is a big shame for Kana-Biyik to miss the start of the season, but he will be back soon and has plenty of time to make an impact.
