There will be no European football next season for Manchester United but for one summer signing there might be.
After losing the Europa League final to Tottenham, next season will be purely domestic for Manchester United.
This might not be a bad thing, with Ruben Amorim having time on the training pitch with his likely overhauled squad. In addition, no Europe will mean Ineos can build a smaller squad due to fewer games being on the fixture list.
The impact will be felt in the transfer window, with United strengthening the first team instead of having to add depth.
United have signed Matheus Cunha this summer, with the Brazilian an immediate starter within Amorim’s team. In addition, United are set to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
Both of these top-tier signings have been made without any European footballer, but another imminent signing could be set to play in the Conference League next season.

Enzo Kana-Biyik could play in the Conference League next season
United are not only bolstering the first team this summer but are making additions to the youth ranks.
Diego Leon is set to join United in July from Cerro Porteno and will likely be an instant fixture in pre-season before either heading on loan or playing in the academy next season.
Another youngster who is imminently set to arrive is Enzo Kana-Biyik.
Kana-Biyik rejected PSG to join United for free and this should be confirmed next week once his Le Havre contract expires. Once signed, it is assumed that Kana-Biyik is set to head out on loan to Ineos-owned Lausanne.
Interestingly, Kana-Biyik could therefore be playing European football next season with Lausanne who are set to play in the Conference League second qualifying round next month.
Lausanne will play a two-legged tie for a place in the third qualifying round and then the play-off stage. If the Swiss side can qualify, it would be huge for Kana-Biyik with a bigger stage to showcase his talent.

Kana-Biyik still expected to join Lausanne this summer
Despite nothing official over the loan to Lausanne, journalist Christopher Michel has this week reaffirmed that it will happen.
The reporter explained that United expects Kana-Biyik to gain valuable experience, develop, and also hopefully score goals.
Kana-Biyik will play alongside Gaoussou Diakite, who is Sekou Kone’s international teammate and seems set for Lausanne.
In addition, there is a chance that Kone himself could end up joining the Swiss Super League side on loan.
This is claimed by reliable X account, Sully Talkz who has suggested Lausanne are leading the race for Kone on loan this summer.
Finally, Ineos are using the multi-club model and it should benefit both Lausanne and the youngsters.
