Manchester United officially announced the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik on Thursday.
It is the third signing of the summer for Ineos, yet Enzo Kana-Biyik is not a player the club can benefit from right away.
Manchester United confirmed the signing of Kana-Biyik on Thursday; however, the 18-year-old has immediately been sent on a season-long loan to FC Lausanne-Sport.
Lausanne described Kana-Biyik as a powerful striker, while also lauding his technical ability in attack. In the Swiss league, Kana-Biyik will develop and hopefully score goals, which should see him arrive at Carrington next summer as a top prospect.
Kana-Biyik is the first United have loaned to an Ineos-owned club, which represents an exciting relationship that the club must take advantage of.

Enzo Kana-Biyik sends message after joining Manchester United
United moved quickly to secure the signing of Kana-Biyik this summer after his contract at Le Havre in France expired.
United beat PSG and Chelsea to Kana-Biyik, and there is hope that he will develop into a player resembling Hugo Ekitike.
Now, Kana-Biyik has taken to Instagram with a message sent in reaction to joining United.
“I am very happy and proud to announce the signing of my first professional contract at @manchesterunited, thank you to this historic club for trusting me, and I hope that I can leave my mark there. It’s a new chapter of my life that is starting, new goals to achieve, but the mindset is the same.
“A big thank you to all the people who contributed to my development: my coaches, my teammates, and my family.
“May all the Glory return to God because without him, nothing of everything I could have done would be possible”.
Kana-Biyik is a very raw striker and will have to improve at Lausanne if he is to get a chance at United next summer. The teenager will now be eager to get started in Switzerland.
When will Kana-Biyik make his Lausanne debut?
Despite the move only being announced on Thursday, Kana-Biyik might not have to wait long to make his first appearance.
Lausanne are playing two friendlies on Friday, first against Etolie Carouge and then Stade Nyonnais, and we would expect that Kana-Biyik will play a role in one of these games.
If this has come too soon, Lausanne are playing in the Conference League second qualifying round on July 24th, before the Swiss Super League kicks off on July 27th.
Therefore, we won’t have to wait long to watch the teenager in action, and hopefully, he can get off to a dream start.
