Kieran McKenna will be looking to spoil Ruben Amorim’s bow as Manchester United head coach on Sunday.
After a week of training, Ruben Amorim, Manchester United’s new head coach, will be desperate to get into games.
Speaking on Friday, Amorim explained how United must improve and admitted to fans that there will be highs and lows to come before we reap rewards.
Amorim’s demands of his United squad are clear and a strong start on Sunday against Ipswich would be perfect for the Portuguese coach, giving the players confidence in the system.
United take on Ipswich at 4.30 pm on Sunday in a massive test for Amorim with just one week of training under his belt.
In order for this weekend to go smoothly, Amorim will hope his squad take a page from Roy Keane – with one player in particular likely to be decisive.

Kieran McKenna full of praise for Bruno Fernandes
Sunday also brings the storyline of Kieran McKenna being reunited with United and he will get to see a number of players he worked with previously at Old Trafford.
But now the former coach under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been quoted in complete praise of United captain and talisman Bruno Fernandes.
“A top, top professional and a really good human being,” McKenna told The Guardian
“I know he’s followed our progress really carefully over the last couple of years. It’s not always that you leave a club and have such fondness for the players and staff there.”
McKenna then moved on to Sunday’s game, revealing that Bruno is the player he and his Ipswich side will be looking to stop.
“I’ll enjoy seeing him on Sunday, but only after the game. It’s full eyes on trying to stop him being at his most effective best.”
Bruno Fernandes is in incredible form right now
Due to the international break, United’s 3-0 win over Leicester seems like a lifetime ago – however, it is important to remember the deadly form Bruno is in right now.
After a poor start to the season, Ten Hag’s exit spurred Bruno on as he has been on fire ever since. The No.8 has scored four goals and assisted two in the four games under interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.
This included a brilliant goal against Leicester City.
Bruno’s excellent continued for Portugal as he scored in a 5-1 win against Poland – even getting himself a suspension in the game which allowed Bruno to return early to Carrington.
So it is safe to assume that the ‘Portuguese magnifico’ will be at the centre of any success this weekend.
