Jadon Sancho’s time as a Manchester United player could be coming to an end after one of his loan clauses was triggered.
Manchester United conceded in the summer that the £72m deal to sign Jadon Sancho failed.
A public fall-out with Erik ten Hag was the beginning of the end for Jadon Sancho, who was loaned to Chelsea in the summer.
Sancho has struggled to impress at Chelsea, and since leaving, Sancho made a petty “freedom” remark towards Marcus Rashford that has turned the United fanbase against him.
United included a £25m obligatory buy clause for Sancho, and now everyone at Old Trafford has their fingers crossed that it is triggered for the summer.

Jadon Sancho buy clause triggered by Chelsea
According to The Athletic, there were several clauses that could have triggered the buy obligation in Sancho’s loan deal.
One of those clauses was for Chelsea to finish above 15th position in the Premier League table – something which is now guaranteed after the weekend results.
Sancho was benched by Enzo Maresca but came on in the second half for their 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
As per the terms of the loan agreement, Chelsea are now obligated to buy Sancho for £25m unless they pay a penalty fee.
Months into the loan deal, reports revealed that Chelsea can pay £5m to cancel Sancho’s loan, meaning he would return to Old Trafford in the summer.
When Chelsea will make a final decision on signing Jadon Sancho
With only three goals in 34 appearances for Chelsea, Sancho has hardly set Stamford Bridge alight.
There will be a few nerves from the hierarchy at Old Trafford that Sancho could be returned to Manchester in the summer.
So far, Maresca and Chelsea have stayed quiet on what they plan to do with Sancho.
Sancho’s improved form in recent weeks hopefully encourages Chelsea to go through with the £25m deal this summer, but it will likely depend on their final league position.
Chelsea will wait until the end of the season before making a final decision on Sancho. Their decision to sign him will depend on if they qualify for the Champions League.
