Jadon Sancho is ready for his first training sessions as a Manchester United player.

Sancho will train with Manchester United’s first team on Monday as he begins work ahead of the new season with his new club.

Sancho posted a message on Instagram, commenting ‘back to the graft’, and signified his break was over.

We have been waiting

A year ago this was the day Dortmund imposed as their deadline for Manchester United to pay their asking price.

United chose not to pay it, hoping Dortmund were bluffing. They were not, and United had to wait another year to finally sign the winger.

The deal for Sancho was completed last month, for substantially less than Dortmund’s asking price in 2020.

Now after a long summer break, Sancho is heading back to train with his new United teammates.

United’s players are looking forward to it, evidenced by his exchange with Bruno Fernandes at the weekend.

Next Saturday, Sancho will make his long awaited debut against Leeds.

If it is from the bench due to a lack of training time, Sancho will get a huge ovation from the packed Old Trafford crowd.
