Jadon Sancho’s true feelings about his departure from Manchester United have been hinted at as he closes in on his move to Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United have now agreed the outline of a loan deal with Borussia Dortmund which would see Jadon Sancho move back to the Bundesliga and there would be no buy option in the deal, according to HITC Football.

Erik ten Hag decided to move the Englishman to the academy side following his public dispute with the former Borussia Dortmund winger and it has looked inevitable for the past few months that the 23-year-old would be on his way out of the club.

Barring any changes of manager in the summer, you suspect Sancho will not return to Old Trafford following his struggles at the club.

Sancho reacts

After what feels like months of silence from the Englishman, Sancho has dropped a hint that his move is now nearing completion with his latest social media activity on platform X.

Sancho has liked Fabrizio Romano’s post claiming that the deal is at the ‘Here We Go’ stage, which essentially means that barring any unforeseen hitches, the winger will be back in the Bundesliga.

Before his move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, Sancho would regularly score 20 goals and provide 20 assists per season for the German side and the Red Devils will be hoping that he can repeat this trick to net United a healthy sum of money if they choose to sell him after his loan.

United glad to see him move on

Some people at Old Trafford may well be glad to see the back of the Englishman, whose public disagreement with Ten Hag left a rather dark and uncomfortable cloud over the club.

Since his move to the club two seasons ago, Sancho has not performed anywhere near the levels he was showing in Germany with Brazilian winger Antony, who himself has had problems this season, consistently starting ahead of the 23-year-old.

There were brief moments of promise during his time at the club. His superb goal from an attacking midfield position against Leicester City last season provided hope but these moments were fleeting and the reality is that the Englishman never truly met the hype that the move to Old Trafford brought with him.
