Amad Diallo was in top form for Manchester United on Thursday night despite the 4-3 loss at the hands of Spurs.
As is becoming a weekly occurrence for Ruben Amorim, the standout performer in red was 22-year-old Ivorian Amad Diallo.
Amorim gave the winger the rest he needed and deserved, before being forced into bringing him on in the 55th minute, with Antony struggling to impact the game.
Amad made an instant impact for Manchester United, as we saw Joshua Zirkzee get one back before United’s No.16 scored himself.
In scoring, Amad demonstrated the one quality most desired by Amorim.

Amad showcases the quality Amorim desires most
The game against Spurs looked done and dusted when Dominic Solanke made it 3-0 in the second half, but Amorim did not know when to give up.
Turning to his bench, the United head coach sparked life into the game and almost completed a miraculous comeback.
Amad scored to make it now five assists and two goals under Amorim – extending his impressive recent record.
But it was his running, rather than his magical ability which impressed here.
Upon arrival at United, Amorim outlined that he wanted his players to “run like mad dogs”, defining this as the trait he wanted most from his team.
So when Amad’s pressing forced Forster into an error, Amorim will have been delighted as it came through the standout United player, running like a dog.
Amad is leading the way for Manchester United
It would have been very easy for Amorim to have arrived at Old Trafford and picked a team full of established players who may be bigger names than Amad.
However, from game one Amorim has put faith in Amad. Faith why has already paid off as it has resulted in the player becoming a bonafide star.
Against City, it was Amad’s running which started the comeback as he was quickest to react before winning the penalty – and once again Amad was the one willing to run and put in the yards to force the error.
With every passing week, Amad endears himself to Amorim more and more – now we can’t help but think the Ivorian is undroppable.
