Manchester United look to have finally parted ways with Jadon Sancho.

The English winger looks destined to rejoin his former club Borussia Dortmund, in a loan deal with strangely no option to buy for the Bundesliga side.

It just never worked out for Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford. The 23-year-old was always destined to be heading out of Carrington after his infamous spat with Erik ten Hag.

But now, United have to look ahead to the future of the right-wing slot, and with Antony not performing, a young man has the perfect chance to seize an opportunity of a place in the starting XI for Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag on Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo has finally made his long-awaited return to the Manchester United squad. He was given a 35-minute cameo in the 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest and instantly impressed fans.

Ten Hag was also happy with what he saw, picking out Diallo for a ‘really good’ performance whilst defending his attacking players amid questions about their involvement in the game.

Now, ahead of the FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic, the manager has commented on the Ivorian’s impact once again. He was asked via club media what Amad provides in attack for the Red Devils and what qualities he admires in the young winger. He responded:

“Yeah, he is very ball secure. He can bring a key actions, final passes, score a goal. And so I think he has some weapons. That is always what you are looking for with offensive players.”

Amad may finally be exactly what Ten Hag is looking for in Manchester United’s attack. Now he must seize his opportunity against the Latics.

Amad Diallo to start in the FA Cup?

We believe Diallo will be granted his first United start since his return on Monday night.

The DW Stadium will be the perfect place for the 21-year-old to shine once again. He has fond memories of playing the Latics, he scored in Sunderland’s 4-1 win at their ground back in December 2022.

Let’s hope history repeats itself as United embark on their first cup away draw since Leicester City back on the 21st of March 2021.
