Luke Shaw wasted no time in making his feelings clear during one incident in Manchester United’s Premier League loss to West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United hosted West Ham at Old Trafford and Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils slipped to a shock 2-0 defeat in the Premier League clash on the weekend.

The Red Devils were 1-0 down at half-time after Tomas Soucek put Graham Potter’s men into the lead before the Hammers extended their advantage after the break.

Jarrod Bowen scored the Hammers’ second in the 57th minute and United were left with an uphill task in the remainder of the Premier League tie against West Ham.

West Ham secured their 2-0 win over United and Graham Potter’s side walked away with all three Premier League points from Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers climbed from 17th in the Premier League table to 15th and Potter’s men leapfrogged both United and Tottenham after the result on the weekend.

United currently languish in 16th place in the Premier League table, while Tottenham are 17th in the table with only two league matches remaining this season.

The Red Devils have failed to win in their last five Premier League matches and United have lost a whopping 17 times alone in the league in the 2024-25 campaign.

Luke Shaw’s response to Leny Yoro’s injury spoke volumes in Man Utd’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham in the Premier League

Luke Shaw was deployed in the three-man Manchester United backline alongside Leny Yoro for Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to West Ham at Old Trafford.

United manager Ruben Amorim was left with a real headache early in the second half after Red Devils star Leny Yoro picked up an injury against West Ham.

Leny Yoro was treated on the pitch by the medical team in Amorim’s United coaching staff before he was forced off at Old Trafford due to the injury to his foot.

TikTok account ‘strettyend’ posted footage of Yoro being surrounded by United players, including Shaw, after he went down with his injury in the second half.

Shaw could be spotted signalling to the bench that Yoro needed to be subbed off amid the medical team rushing onto the pitch to attend to the injured United star.

They knew straight away it’s more serious. Luke Shaw was indicating he need to come off even before the medics were there. Hope it’s not too bad for Yoro! #mufc #manchesterunited #yoro #lukeshaw #munwhu @lucycloudmusic #lucycloud

Ruben Amorim’s eye-opening assessment of Man Utd’s Premier League performance vs West Ham at Old Trafford

Speaking after United’s latest Premier League defeat, Amorim insisted that the Red Devils needed to be “more aggressive” against West Ham at Old Trafford.

“I think it’s quite similar in some games that we have here, Wolves was a little bit the same,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“We create more chances than the opponent, but the lack of urgency [was disappointing] to protect our goal in the few times that West Ham was near our box. We had a lack of urgency.

“We were near the [opposition] box and had a lack of urgency. We need to be more aggressive.

“If you cannot score in the first ball, [then] the second ball, if you cross the ball, if we are aggressive, we can score. We had a lack of pace.

“We have to do so much better, and for me, the biggest concern is that feeling that, ‘It’s okay, we cannot change our position so much, so it’s okay.’

“That is the biggest problem in our club in this moment because we are losing the feeling [that] we are a massive club and that it’s the end of the world to lose a game at home. So, I think that is the biggest concern in our club.”

United will now return to Premier League action on Friday and the Red Devils will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with kick-off slated for 8:15pm UK time.
