Manchester United are set to welcome Colombian wonderkid Cristian Orozco to the club next summer, with an agreement already reached.
Back in 2024, when Ineos took charge of the footballing operations at Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe outlined a desire for the club to sign young, high-potential, and cheap talent.
Ratcliffe wanted United to sign ‘the next Mbappe’, as an example, opposed to spending hundreds of millions on players in their prime, which had been an unsuccessful strategy under the Glazers.
United signed Sekou Kone in the summer of 2024, which was the first really exciting left-field signing by Ineos, the first of many.
Ayden Heaven arrived in January 2025 from Arsenal for just £1m, and the summer of 2025 saw Diego Leon join United from Cerro Porteno for £3m.
Now, United have already planned a move for Cristian Orozco, with the 17-year-old Colombian set to join from Forteleza after his 18th birthday in 2026.

Cristian Orozco sends a message to Manchester United fans
While largely unheard of, United fans are very excited by Orozco, with the teenager looking like he has all the qualities needed to become top-tier.
Orozco is potentially a ready-made Casemiro replacement, with the Brazilian expected to be gone by the time the Colombia U17 captain arrives.
Amid all the claims that he is Old Trafford-bound, Orozco’s Instagram has been getting love from United fans, and after the comments, he has sent a message.
“La buena pa’ todos, bendiciones”, Orozco wrote, which translates roughly to, “Good for everyone, blessings”. Additionally, this message comes with an image of Diego Maradona
The understanding of this message is that Orozco is thanking his followers for all the messages he has received since his United move became mainstream.
This is likely as close to discussing the move on social media as Orozco can get prior to the move being made official.
Manchester United have already signed Cristian Orozco
While we won’t see Orozco in United colours signing his contract at Carrington until next summer, the move is already done, with paperwork signed.
Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra has reported this, stating that the documents for Orozco to become a United player is already signed and he will arrive once he’s 18.
The move was agreed by United’s lead South American scout Giuseppe Antonaccio, who was the man to unearth the talent of Orozco, which appears to be substantial.
For a fee of £750k total, United can’t go wrong with this move, as his value will skyrocket the minute he joins the club, making it a bit of a win, win. No matter how he fares.
