Manchester United are claimed to be close to signing Colombian wonderkid Cristian Orozco.

The transfer window may be closed, but that will not stop Manchester United lining up deals for stars of the future.

Last December, Manchester United agreed a deal with Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno to sign Diego Leon. The transfer was completed in July 2025, after the left-back had turned 18.

Now there are reports claiming that United have agreed to sign another South American prospect.

Cristian Orozco to Manchester United

South American journalist Pipe Sierra reports that Manchester United have lined up a deal for Colombian prospect Cristian Orozco.

Sierra writes on X: “Preliminary agreement for Cristian Orozco (17) to become a new player for #ManUtd.”

He adds that Orozco ‘will travel’ to complete the move from Fortaleza once he turns 18.

Orozco will turn 18 on July 13 2026, allowing Manchester United to finalise the transfer in next summer’s transfer window.

South American outlet Futbolred are also reporting Orozco’s future transfer to Manchester United.

What do we know about Cristian Orozco

Cristian Orozco is a holding midfielder who plays for Colombian club Fortaleza. He joined them from Rojo FC earlier this summer.
