Manchester United can boast of numerous young talents fighting to make their way into the first team.
Undoubtedly one of the most exciting players in the academy is attacking midfielder Amir Ibragimov.
After making an impact in the under-18s team recently, Ibragimov was named as a starter as United’s under-21s took on Altrincham in the National League Cup.
The call-up came with United a little short-handed, due to some youth players being on international duty, and Ibragimov took his chance.

Ibragimov helps United win 4-0
Amir Ibragimov helped Manchester United’s youngster to a 4-0 away win, scoring his first ever under-21 goal in the process.
Ibragimov netted United’s third goal, scoring a tap-in after following up a Victor Musa effort which rebounded off the crossbar.
It was reward for a tireless display in midfield, complementing the hard work put in by hat-trick hero Ethan Ennis.
Amir Ibragimov praised
Amir Ibragimov’s performance was praised on MUTV, with Ben Thornley noting that Ibragimov had the savviness to follow the ball up for his goal when the Altrincham defence stood still.
Thornley added: “He’s quite a joy to watch, not just tonight.
“I’ve seen him in numerous under-18s matches, and he’s proving to be quite a clever player.”
Ibragimov was one of the academy players pictured greeting new Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim when he joined the club last week.
Amorim handed debuts to 27 different Sporting players, and he is a player who will be hoping to step up under the new boss.
Ibragimov actually made his under-21 debut last year, and has always been ahead of the curve, making his under-18s debut when he was just 14.
It is 2024/25 when he has really kicked on, recently impressing with a hat-trick as the under-18s thrashed Leeds 8-0.
The rising star has lofty ambitions to make a debut this season, and his impressive performance for the under-21s last night backs up his credentials.
