Tuesday night saw Manchester United U21s play a second game in the EFL Trophy, and they made it two wins from two.
After defeating Barnsley in matchday one 3-2, now Travis Binnion has coached his team to a second successive victory over senior opposition in the EFL Trophy.
The game ended United U21 3-3 Doncaster, with the Red Devils going on to win two points – a further coming in the penalty shootout triumph.
Manchester United now sit top of Group F and prospects of progressing are looking likely. In the game, there were some real star performances, with Dan Gore making his return to action after eight months.
Meanwhile, Harry Amass also shone brightly at left-back sending Erik ten Hag a message in the process.

Ethan Ennis shines for Manchester United
In a six-goal thriller against Doncaster, Manchester United came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with the League Two side.
Sam Mather opened the scoring for United in the 11th minute, with Ethan Ennis turning provider. Doncaster then scored three, looking like they had put the game to bed with the third coming in the 65th minute.
Ennis then scored himself in the 72nd minute to start the comeback for United. In the 96th minute, the comeback was completed with Louis Jackson scoring thanks to an assist from goalkeeper Dermot Mee.
The game then went to penalties where United won 5-3.
By scoring and assisting, Ennis has brought his tally for the season to four goals and an assist – in just six games, this is an impressive tally
Ineos sent clear message
Ennis was once one of the best prospects in the ranks at Carrington, only for injuries to set him back.
However, after impressing in pre-season Ennis was recently handed a new contract for United which signalled the club’s intent on using him going forward.
Now after scoring once again against senior opposition, a loan to League One or Two looks a good move in January for the Liverpudlian winger.
The 19-year-old will have made it clear to Ineos that he deserves a loan in January, something which has already been rumoured.
In this form, Ennis could be well placed to be the next United academy graduate given a debut by Erik ten Hag.
