Amir Ibragimov may be the very best talent currently developing at Old Trafford and this season he showing why.

Despite his age, Amir Ibragimov is already a talent that is widely known among the fanbase, which speaks to how impressive he has been through the ranks at Manchester United.

Ibragimov’s development has been halted slightly by injury, with last season seeing the wonderkid struggle to stay fit.

This season though, Ibragimov has returned to form at both U18 and U17 action on a regular and has been very effective – among the goals and the assists with nine-goal contributions in just six games.

Amir Ibragimov named as Manchester United’s best talent

16-year-old Ibragimov has been tipped as a future first-teamer for United since he was playing at a U15 level – but now he is beginning to show why he has been rated so highly.

Now, The Guardian has listed the very best prospect born after September 2007 at every single Premier League club.

For United, there was only really one option – that being Ibragimov who already has experience of being in and around the first team.

Ibragimov has some exciting qualities which make him such a mesmerising talent to watch. The Russian-born wonderkid can dribble, and has pace and power, skills, while also possessing goal-scoring and creativity.

Due to all this, Ibragimov has a lot of the qualities needed in order to make it at United.

Ibragimov has long been compared with Wayne Rooney, with one former coach quoted by the Telegraph admitting, “I haven’t seen many who can run like him. I could see him playing as a No.10, in a Rooney role.”

Ibragimov has first-team aspirations

Despite only beginning to establish himself in the U18s this season, Ibragimov is targeting a senior United debut this season.

With this aim, Ibragimov was in first-team training prior to the Community Shield, where we imagine Erik ten Hag will have run the rule over him and evaluated whether he is ready or not.

This was not the first time he was around the first team though, with Ten Hag selecting Ibragimov to play during a behind-closed-doors friendly last January where he was a left-winger in a 3-1 defeat.

All signs suggest Ibragimov is set for a huge career at Old Trafford and we cannot wait to continue tracking his progression this season ahead of a possible promotion.
