What makes Crysencio Summerville must sign for Man Utd regardless of Marcus Rashford future

Crysencio Summerville is arguably the most undervalued attacker on the market this summer and Manchester United should absolutely be pushing for his signature.

Manchester United found incredible value in an inflated transfer market this summer by signing Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for a bargain £35m fee.

Even £48m for Andrey Santos has scope to end up looking like a bargain move from United if he becomes the player most expect him to be.

United will be hoping to continue signing undervalued players and avoid some of the ridiculous fees that rivals are spending this summer. In which case Crysencio Summerville has to be next on Ineos’ hit list this summer.

Crysencio Summerville has been linked to Man Utd – Would you like to see us sign him? What is he worth?

Almost a month ago, it was claimed that United had made an approach to sign Summerville from West Ham. However, at the time, Summerville had a £50m valuation from West Ham, a fee which felt steep considering their relegation to the Championship.

But now, according to The Guardian, Summerville might actually be available for closer to £30m, which is almost too good to refuse and could lead to an immediate move by United or one of the various interested clubs.

However, despite the £30m price point being reported, in Italy there is suggestion that Roma are preparing to spend £38m on Summerville.

This is probably quite unlikely because Roma are under financial pressure to raise funds by UEFA and spending £38m wouldn’t help them with that. Unless they were to sell Manu Kone, who is linked with United, then potentially they could be suitors for Summerville.

Even for £38m, United could be signing the bargain of the summer in Summerville. For this reason the club shouldn’t be hinging the interest on whether Marcus Rashford is sold or not, because reinforcements will be needed anyway.

Waiting to see if Rashford stays could just see United miss out on all targets.

Summerville is must sign for Manchester United

United’s entire transfer focus this summer has been on midfield so far, however, with two thirds of this rebuild done, the forward line could emerge as the next priority.

In this case, there isn’t an option better than Summerville, for a number of reasons.

For West Ham, Summerville had such impressive underlying data which was in a defensive side with little quality bar him going forwards. This indicates that in a better team, Summerville could absolutely explode in terms of his goals, assists and threat.

This was demonstrated during the World Cup when he shone for the Netherlands, standing out, scoring goals and looking like a player that could make a real difference to United’s attack.

United don’t have a player like Summerville at the club, so he would bring new qualities to the club and be an excellent squad option, especially for £30m.

He is a must-sign for United.
