Manchester United will hope to complete three more signings to round off their summer transfer window.

Ineos have already welcomed three new signings through the doors at Carrington this summer, with a £71m deal for Bryan Mbeumo the latest to be completed.

He joins Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon as new arrivals this window and now Ineos have shifted their attention to other targets.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, United want three more signings to finish their window. A new goalkeeper, striker and central midfielder are on the shopping list.

£20m star is top goalkeeper target for Man United

With Andre Onana injured for the start of the season, Ruben Amorim faces a tough decision on his goalkeeping department.

Altay Bayindir started in the 0-0 draw against Leeds in the first pre-season friendly of the summer, but the Turkish shot-stopper faces an uncertain future after some mixed performances last season.

According to reports, United want to sign Senne Lammens, who is valued at £20m by Royal Antwerp.

The 23-year-old would likely arrive as the No.2 to Onana, but would be given an opportunity to challenge for the starting spot.

Alternatively, United tried to sign Emi Martinez from Aston Villa, although they are holding out for a £40m fee for the World Cup winner.

Man United want an ‘athletic’ midfielder

Moving outfield, Amorim spotted a ‘lack of pace’ in midfield during the draw against Leeds, and it seems like that is an area he is keen to improve.

It is known that Amorim wants to sign an “athletic” midfielder who would complement the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo in a double pivot.

United have been linked to Morten Hjulmand, who could reunite with Amorim in Manchester having been the captain of his successful Sporting Lisbon side.

There have also been talks with Atalanta’s Ederson over a potential move, although his £51m price tag could make a move very difficult.

Three striker shortlist drawn up for Ruben Amorim

Perhaps the most important signing that United need to make is a new centre-forward, after Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles last season.

Ineos have already missed out on three targets in Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike, but now Amorim has three strikers on his radar.

United have recruited from the Premier League this season, and that trend could continue with links to Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.

However, it seems £68m-rated Benjamin Sesko has emerged as a top target for United. The 22-year-old is admired by Christopher Vivell, who could play a vital role in helping to pursue the RB Leipzig forward.

Which striker United pursue will likely come down to what budget is available, with Ineos still needing to find new clubs for Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.
