Manchester United will be hoping for a fast start under Ruben Amorim as the new boss prepares to face Ipswich Town.
The international break is entering its final stages and Manchester United fans will feel like kids at Christmas.
The first game of the Ruben Amorim era is just days away and excitement has been building for a while.
United appointed Amorim as head coach on November 1 but continued with Sporting until the international break.
We are now approaching three weeks since Amorim’s appointment but his first game is now imminent.
Amorim faces Ipswich Town in his United debut and all eyes will be on the 39-year-old this Sunday.

Manchester United chasing Sporting star
Amorim will look to make a positive start whilst knowing that this is a very long-term project at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese coach needs time to mould the squad to his liking and one name keeps coming up as a potential signing.
The Daily Star claim that United want to sign Sporting wonderkid Geovany Quenda – and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will back a move.
The report claims that United want to sell Antony and replace him with Quenda.
Ratcliffe will ‘sanction a move’ for Quenda at the end of the season, seemingly willing to hand Amorim a reunion with the teenager.
It’s added that Amorim is a ‘huge admirer’ of Quenda and believes that he can be a ‘huge success’ at United.
This comes after reports from Portugal indicated that United will move to sign Quenda in January but leave him at Sporting until the summer.
Much will depend on Financial Fair Play and Ratcliffe may prefer to release the funds for Quenda in the summer rather than in January.

Geovany Quenda release clause
Links to Quenda have already been rife.
Claims earlier in November suggested that Amorim would love to sign Quenda having handed him his debut at Sporting, with the wide man earning comparisons to Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
Amorim has praised Quenda as ‘very talented’ and Quenda shared an emotional farewell to Amorim upon his move to United.
The pair clearly have a strong relationship and a United reunion adds up – but Sporting are likely to play hardball over a deal.
Quenda’s release clause stands at £83million and whilst United won’t plan to pay anywhere near that figure, such a high price strengthens Sporting’s hand in negotiations.
Amorim will hope to reunite with Quenda in 2025 though with the wonderkid potentially a more likely signing than teammate Viktor Gyokeres at this point.
