The £20 million-rated Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji is delighted to have caught the eye of Premier League giants Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle.
Funnily enough, a late winner against Manchester United in a seven-goal Champions League thriller tends to work wonders for your reputation.
If Roony Bardghji was very highly rated in Scandinavia before popping up to stun Erik ten Hag’s side in the Danish capital in early-November, then the teenager’s European heroics went some way to catching the eye of clubs to the south.

Clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Brentford and Aston Villa. HITC Football understands that the Premier League quartet all hold an interest in the £20 million-rated Sweden under 21 international.
And, if you can’t beat them, then why not sign them? Man United themselves have watched Bardghji closely after he exploded onto the Champions League stage like his near-namesake Wayne two decades earlier.
The Red Devils have held discussions via intermediaries (90Min).
Manchester United like Roony Bardghji
“Of course, it’s special, but it’s not like it stresses me out. I take it as motivation every time I step onto the field. It motivates me to get better,” Bardghji tells Tipsbladet when giving his reaction to the sudden flury of speculation.
“It’s a dream, and it’s great to hear because it means I’m doing well. But I try not to think too much about it.
“As I have said before, I feel ready. But when the time is right – whether it is now or later – I do not know. The timing has to be right. But, right now, I’m only focusing on getting in top shape and playing football.
“The most important thing for me is the plan for me and my development. I have to feel comfortable with the coach, the club and everything else. That is the most important thing as a player.”
The left-footed right winger is one of a number of exciting young forwards who could potentially replace Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford. Man United are also eyeing fellow teenager Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge and Villarreal’s Yeremi Pino.
Bardghji has scored ten goals in 30 games this season, and Copenhagen are expected to demand a minimum of £20 million.
Jadon Sancho set for Old Trafford exit
“He is one of the players there is interest in,” sporting director Peter Christiansen explains. “And it is quite natural with the autumn he has had.
“Of course, there is interest. But I can’t go into more detail about it. I do not want to. But they usually say that there is no smoke without fire. We’ll see what the time brings.
“Let him now be allowed to be Roony Bardghi, and perform on this platform where he is now. Then things will probably come to him at some point.”
