Manchester United made five first-team signings over the summer but will be looking to back Ruben Amorim in the 2025 transfer windows.
Erik ten Hag was backed rather than sacked over the summer as Manchester United invested in new signings.
United spent more than £180million on signings and hoped to see Ten Hag push on after a difficult campaign last season.
That didn’t really happen though and United sacked Ten Hag in October, resulting in Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford.
United must now back another manager in the transfer market and we are seeing a number of players being linked with the club.

Manchester United target Geovany Quenda given ‘elite’ prediction
Amorim may want to raid former club Sporting with United keen on Francisco Trincao.
Geovany Quenda is also a United target having made his first-team debut for Sporting under Amorim.
Quenda is only 17 but became a key player for Amorim before his decision to leave Sporting for Wrexham.
The teenager has shown huge potential this season and Amorim has praised Quenda as ‘very talented’.
A reunion at Old Trafford has been rumoured and one Portuguese reporter has now had his say.
A Bola reporter Nuno Travassos has been quoted by Leonino as saying that Quenda joining United ‘makes a lot of sense’.
Travassos feels that Amorim will want to turn United into an ‘elite’ team – and claims there is ‘no doubt’ that Quenda will become an elite player down the line.
Travassos added that Quenda is already ‘extraordinary’ because of his attitude and concentration levels, backing him to become the new Cristiano Ronaldo
“I think it makes a lot of sense, because he will need a player with his characteristics. There are some, there is Dalot who could play the role that Quenda does, but Quenda has the potential to be much better,” said Travassos.
“Amorim will want to have an elite team and football and Quenda will be an elite player, there will be no doubt that he will have a brilliant future. It is not normal to have a player of this age with the attitude he has and the concentration and ability to understand the game, it is extraordinary.
“I think he would adapt very well, because he would continue with Amorim. Taking into account the differences and the club in question, Quenda would be for Amorim what Ronaldo was for Ferguson . In other words, someone who taught him and would be very important for him to evolve to another level, a level of excellence,” he added.

Amad Diallo may have something to say
Quenda certainly makes sense as a United target and Amorim will be confident in his ability to become a superstar.
The Portuguese wonderkid is a right-sided winger with a great left foot, but Amorim converted him into a wing back.
That may sound eerily familiar to United fans given that Amad Diallo appears to be on a similar trajectory.
Amad has bagged three assists in two Premier League games under Amorim whilst playing as a makeshift wing back.
Amorim has praised Amad as ‘explosive’ and if he continues on this path, the Ivorian may just make Amorim forget all about a deal for Quenda whilst proving that he can be the answer himself.
