Manchester United have submitted a double bid for Bayern Munich defenders Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.
There could be movement on Manchester United’s desire to sign Bayern Munich duo Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.
According to The Athletic, United have made an ‘opening offer’ as a joint bid for the pair.
De Ligt and Mazraoui both want to join United and reunite with former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United bid
Bayern Munich have turned down Manchester United’s offer and told the Red Devils that a higher bid is required.
United have agreed personal terms with both players and hope to be able to move quickly once a deal with Bayern is struck. Both players are represented by the same agent.
The need to sign De Ligt has been increased after an injury to new centre-back signing Leny Yoro, but it was always United’s plan to sign two defenders at the position.
Mazraoui would come in as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is in talks to sign with West Ham.

De Ligt to return to Bayern training
Noussair Mazraoui is currently in South Korea with the Bayern Munich squad as they prepare to face Tottenham on Saturday. It is unclear whether he will play in the game.
De Ligt meanwhile is scheduled to return to Bayern’s training ground on Friday, following Euro 2024.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg adds: “De Ligt is not stressing about the transfer and will prepare professionally and motivated for the next weeks, even though he has already agreed on a move with Manchester United.”
