Manchester United scouts watched 17-goal striker on Thursday night amid £50m price tag

Manchester United’s attacking players have made an impact under Ruben Amorim but that won’t stop strikers being inked with moves to Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim has enjoyed a decent first week in charge of Manchester United.

The draw at Ipswich Town was rather drab but Amorim won his first game as United boss with a 3-2 victory over Bodo/Glimt.

United backed that up with a 4-0 thrashing of Everton on Sunday, hammering the Toffees in comfortable fashion.

Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee both scored braces against Everton whilst Rasmus Hojlund scored twice against Bodo/Glimt.

That means that United’s key attackers have all bagged braces under Amorim, offering promise for the future after just three games in charge.

United may still look into signing attackers under new boss Amorim.

United fans want Viktor Gyokeres with Juventus repeatedly linked with signing Zirkzee – just months after his United arrival.

Another forward is on the radar with Omar Marmoush linked to United late in November.

The Mirror (01/12, p75) report that United scouted Marmoush in action for Eintracht Frankfurt against Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to have watched Marmoush in action ahead of a potential 2025 raid.

The report suggests that United have a ‘serious interest’ in Marmoush with Frankfurt hoping that he will stay until the end of the season.

Marmoush’s price is rising though; he is thought to be valued at around £50million but Frankfurt may now bump that price tag up to £60million as his superb season continues.

Omar Marmoush on fire this season

Marmoush was impressive last season, bagging 17 goals and six assists but he has taken his game to another level this season.

The 25-year-old has smashed 17 goals and 11 assists already this term, across 19 games in all competitions.

Marmoush has been praised for his ‘blistering pace’ by Frankfurt boss Dino Toppmoiller and he has been terrorising Bundesliga defences this term.

Not only is Marmoush thriving from open play but he is also becoming something of a free kick specialist having caused mayhem from dead balls this season.

The Egyptian seems primed for a big move in 2025 and United may well pounce with Marmoush’s versatility to play up front, out wide or behind a striker potentially appealing to Amorim.
